The Birmingham Central Library (BCL), inaugurated 3rd September 2013, is the largest library in Europe: 9 floors for an overall area of 31,000 m2, with glass curtain walls wrapped by a filigree of overlapping metal rings.

D-Effe contributed to the implementation of the project by supplying its Customer with about 7,000 m² of flooring structures. In view of the architectural characteristics and end destination of the building, the QBASE system – our patent which ensures maximum precision, stability and strength – was adopted in this case:
